“Designed to contrast the old with the new, the extension incorporates the restored brick facades of the original Grade II listed building and also calls to mind the school’s maritime beginnings. Colour is added to the space by the use of bold light effects. The colour changing scheme enables the lighting to alter from electric blue to shocking pink at the flick of a switch. Uplighters on stainless steel riser ducts give the interior a further touch of drama.”
